Preparing a campaign for wood in the Mediterranean!
In recent years, most of the promotional activities concerning the use of wood in construction have been conducted in the northern parts of Europe, while the south has been partly neglected. If we take into account the historical facts, we can conclude that wood is a biblical material that was largely used in ancient Greece and Rome. Wood can therefore be easily restored to the south, to the Mediterranean climate in which there are still many wooden structures. The Cluster will initiate this project through regional partners, or directly through the European Commission in Brussels, since this is a crucial building material, which is closely linked to sustainable building and offers long-term cost-effectiveness and an important environmental comfort, while achieving important economic effects and making impacts on the social and community aspects of the local economy.
